The Umatilla School District board approved Policy JFCEB (Personal Electronic Devices) and the accompanying administrative regulation JFCEB-AR (Request for Personal Electronic Devices Exception) by unanimous vote on Sept. 11, 2025. Board Member Jon Lorence moved for adoption and Board Member Steve Warr seconded; the measures passed 6–0.
The materials were listed on the agenda and included in board packets; the board did not receive public comment on the policy revisions during the meeting. The approved policy and administrative regulation are now part of the district policy manual and will be implemented by school administrators according to the timelines and procedures included in the district packet.
