Library co-director outlines seed library success, senior tech help and bookmobile goal

Library Co-Director Rachel Wahlstrom told the board that the seed library has been "very successful," with community members donating and borrowing seeds; she said the initial setup cost was $120 and the library will report borrowing totals to the state at year-end. Wahlstrom said technology assistance for seniors will begin Oct. 1 with one hour at the senior center on the first Wednesday of each month, and the library is exploring small-scale outreach using personal vehicles until a bookmobile can be established.
Wahlstrom said she and Shannon Washburn will attend directors' meetings Sept. 15–16, 2025 and that the Montana Library Association fall meeting will be Oct. 5–6 at Chico Hot Springs. She reported preschool and story time programs have begun with 26 children and presented the library’s new logo during the meeting.
