Karen Simon, administrative assistant for the City of Eureka, requested Greenwood County provide letters of support for two grant applications. She said the Kansas Rural Champion Grant would fund a part-time position at 20 hours per week at $20 per hour and asked the commission to endorse that application.
Simon also requested support for a separate no-match T-Mobile Hometown Grant intended to pay for wiring upgrades at Memorial Hall. Commissioners were asked to provide letters of support for both applications; no action beyond the request was recorded in the minutes.
