Lamoille FiberNet’s governing board on Dec. 11 adopted the organization’s 2025 Operating and Construction budgets as presented, totaling $3,483,271. The motion to adopt the budgets was moved by Jane Campbell and seconded by Andrew Ross and passed unanimously.
Lisa Birmingham reviewed the financial outlook, saying the 2024 administrative budget is on forecast while the construction budget is landing about $1.5 million lower than previously expected. That gap will be reallocated to long-drop funding for grant addresses and to cover drops and installations; the board noted the full amount of local ARPA pledges to drops and installations equals $225,900. "I move that the board adopt the 2025 Operating and Construction budgets as presented, totaling $3,483,271," Jane Campbell said during the vote.
Board members discussed marketing and communications funding amid higher expected outreach needs but made no changes to the communications line in the adopted budget. The board also confirmed next steps in the budget calendar as staff prepare final materials for implementation and monitoring.
