Beth Goldman, speaking during the public hearing, told the board that the Montour County Historical Society is considering applying for Community Development Block Grant funds to repair windowsills at the Montgomery House Museum and raised concerns about pedestrian access along Route 11 between Mill Street and Bloom Road.
SEDA-COG representative Leslie Hosterman confirmed that historic preservation projects can be funded through the CDBG program and encouraged the Historical Society to include accessibility concerns in its application. The board recessed the hearing to accept applications; SEDA-COG will process project submissions due in late May.
