Road & Bridge Director Jim Meier reported multiple maintenance projects in the county’s weekly update. Meier said the bridge on SE 60th was completed and opened the prior Friday and that timber culvert P-7.3 (NW 72nd, 0.3 mile east of N. River Park) had its weathered timber deck and stringers removed and replaced with steel beams repurposed from an earlier bridge removal.
Meier also described a microseal application by Vance Brothers on N. Halstead Road approaching W. Dutch and noted the project would continue north to the county line and then be applied to Burmac Road north to the county line, about 20 miles in total. Culvert P-7.3 work included welding corrugated metal decking and surfacing with gravel; Meier reported crews had hauled materials and completed preparatory grading and patching work in late March and early April.
The Road & Bridge weekly reports included daily work logs (paving, patching, grading, sign maintenance) and an update that bridge E-30.7 is nearing completion but remains closed until final items are done.
