Weed board representative Macey Ard requested that the Golden Lake weed-reimbursement program be ended beginning in 2024; Commissioner Richard Strand moved to terminate the reimbursement and Commissioner Perry Brown seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
Extension Leader Megan Vig reported that the LAP fund for noxious-weed control currently holds about $35,000 and recommended budgeting $90,000 to $100,000 for the next fiscal year to meet control needs; she said she will research further numbers and return with more detail.
