The Harvey County Board of Commissioners approved Amendment #2 to the 2026 Road & Bridge Capital Improvement Program on a unanimous vote March 17. Road & Bridge Superintendent Jim Meier said savings from earlier budget changes allowed the department to bring forward purchases scheduled for 2027, including a boom mower attachment, a used 4WD Flatbed pickup and a new salt/sand spreader to replace one lost in an accident.
County documents show the amended CIP stays within the previously approved total of $509,500. Don Schroeder moved to approve the amendment and Becky Reimer seconded; the motion passed unanimously. Staff will update the department procurement schedule and coordinate purchase timing with the county finance office.
