On Jan. 13 the commission removed prior tables and approved three previously tabled license requests: The Tobacco and Beverage Outlet (Magnificent, LLC) at 21551 US Highway 231 Ragland; CCS 2 Food Mart (Elevate Business, LLC) at 21403 US Highway 231 Ragland; and CCS 2 Package Store (Elevate Business, LLC) at 21403A US Highway 231 Ragland. Each approval was made by motion and recorded as approved in the minutes.
During new business, commissioners voted to table Requests for Shots on 11 (15180 US Highway 11 Springville) and Oh Sherri Island Pub (1095 Coosa Island Road Cropwell) for two weeks in accordance with county policy.
Why it matters: retail liquor and tobacco licenses require commission approval and are often subject to timing rules; the approvals remove prior holds on the three Ragland businesses and the two new applicants will return after the two‑week tabling period.
Next steps: the two newly tabled applications will be reconsidered at the next applicable meeting after the two‑week period; approved license documents will be attached to the minutes as indicated.
