Public Works reports GIS completion at Highway, safety improvements near Riverdale schools, and upcoming stormwater conference

Public Works reported several operational updates. GIS Director Josh Boudi said recorder fees for December and that GIS software installation at Highway is complete with server sync next. County Engineer Matt Miller reported receipt of new trucks, salt deliveries, tree cleanup, a $1,200 snowplow repair following a low-shoulder incident, and plans to install flashing stop-signs at 94th Avenue and 256 N. at Riverdale schools with rumble strips during spring break.
Zoning & Building Director Greg Thorpe said a stormwater conference is scheduled for Feb. 19 and noted upcoming ordinance and fee changes tied to new state wind, solar and battery legislation; building inspectors will need updated certifications. The committee also recorded three Zoning Board of Appeals cases (RZ-26-101, RZ-26-102, SU-26-201) and forwarded several procurement items to Finance & Personnel.
