Conservation director: campground host at Spruce fractured back; temporary coverage to be provided

Nathan Jones told the board a campground host at Spruce "fell and fractured his back in several spots" and that the county may not have a host in place over the upcoming holiday weekend. "So people call call me, and I'll try to run up and fix anything during the day," Jones said.
Jones said the county will deploy two rangers to provide coverage throughout the county during the holiday weekend and hopes to limit gaps in service; he asked supervisors to share calls if they arise. Board members expressed well wishes for the injured host and noted the department will monitor campground needs until staffing returns to normal.
