Meagher County library reports strong story-time turnout, launches senior tech help and readies mill levy proposal

Rachel Wahlstrom, Library Co-Director, reported to the Meagher County Board of Commissioners on Oct. 21 that the library’s weekly Story Time (Wednesdays, 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.) has resumed with strong participation — approximately 30 children, many from Wilsall — and that staff are running book-reading sessions for two local preschools. Wahlstrom also said the library has initiated a new technology assistance program for seniors at the senior center.
Wahlstrom told the board the library was invited to complete a Montana State Library survey to capture statistical data about programming and impact, and that she and colleagues recently attended regional conferences in Great Falls and Chico Hot Springs. She said she has begun groundwork for a county mill levy that she intends to present to the commissioners for signatures this coming spring; no formal mill levy action was taken at the Oct. 21 meeting.
