Macon County commissioners authorized negotiations to purchase a 27‑acre parcel known as the Glover property on County Road 199 and later approved closing the sale.
At the Feb. 12, 2018 meeting Commissioner Robinson moved to authorize negotiations to purchase the Glover property. The board unanimously approved entering negotiations. On March 12, 2018 Commissioner Berry moved to authorize the closing of the sale; the motion carried by unanimous vote. The minutes show the commission handled the purchase through standard negotiation and closing steps and directed the county attorney and staff to complete closing paperwork.
The minutes list the parcel size (27 acres) and the road location (CR 199); they do not list the purchase price in the public minutes.
