Macon County Commission approves multiple personnel actions, including promotion and new hires

The commission also approved the promotion of Timothy Phillips to Investigator and accepted completion of his probation in a motion by Commissioner Robert M. Berry.
The commission approved two hires for the Macon County Sheriff's Department: Ryan Butler as a jailor and Rateshia Crawford as a part-time jailor, both motions moved by Commissioner Berry and seconded by Commissioner Robinson. These items were recorded as routine personnel actions in the minutes and carried by unanimous vote. The minutes list staff present including Susan B. Thomas (Finance Director) and Gertrude S. Benjamin (Personnel Director/Treasurer), who file personnel records and payroll adjustments.
