A trustee made a motion that the board go into executive session, explicitly citing Idaho Code 74-206. The moving member read the statutory grounds on the record: "Pursuit of Idaho code 74 dash 2 0 6 subsection a, to consider hiring a public officer, employee, staff member, or individual agent, wherein the respective qualities of individuals are to be evaluated in order to fill a particular vacancy or need. Subsection b, to consider the evaluation, dismissal, or disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought against public officer, employee, staff member, or individual agent, or public school student." The motion was seconded and the board proceeded to a roll call vote.
On roll call the trustees recorded affirmative votes (Trustee Gertius: yes; Trustee Bergus: yes; Vice Chair Myers: yes; Chair Wilcox: yes). The Chair then stated, "We are now in executive session," and the meeting moved into the closed portion to discuss the personnel- and student-related matters cited under the statute.
