The board approved final plans for the Channelworth Bridge replacement Aug. 19 after County Engineer Jaden Shackle confirmed additional right‑of‑way acquisitions were complete and plans were "ready for signature" to support a November letting.
Shackle told the board "plans have proceeded, and in order for us to hit November letting, plans are due today, and they are now here. Done. Ready for your approval and signature." Supervisors voted to approve the SF‑49 final plans for the Channelworth bridge replacement. Shackle and board members noted DOT funding for the project and that seeing the project move into letting was a significant milestone.
