Deputy-auditor/office staff asked the board for a motion to approve the July 15, 2025 board proceedings and work session minutes. The motion was moved and seconded and the board voted in favor; the chair announced the motion carries.
Staff also presented two payment items: a Waste Authority of Jackson County assessment for $25,855.87 and a request from the Coconut River Watershed Management Authority for $11,345 to cover water testing and small-community support. The board discussed whether to pay the full watershed request and agreed to put the items in to be processed. "If that's our assessment, I think we have to pay it here," one board member said of the Waste Authority assessment.
