Macon County Commission adopts agenda, names Gertrude Benjamin Employee of the Month

At its Sept. 10 meeting the Macon County Commission adopted the printed agenda, approved minutes and August bills, and adopted a proclamation naming Gertrude S. Benjamin Employee of the Month for September 2018. All listed motions carried by unanimous vote.
The Macon County Commission met on Sept. 10, 2018, and opened business by adopting the printed agenda. Commissioner Robert M. Berry moved to adopt the agenda; Commissioner Edward Huffman seconded and the motion carried by unanimous vote.
The commission approved minutes for five August 2018 meeting dates (08/13, 08/17, 08/28, 08/30 and 08/31) and approved payment of bills and invoices for August 2018 contingent on commissioner review and signatures. Commissioner Miles D. Robinson moved the minutes be adopted; Commissioner Huffman seconded. The meeting record shows each motion carried by unanimous vote.
Commissioner Robinson also moved to adopt a proclamation honoring Gertrude S. Benjamin, Personnel Director/Treasurer, as Macon County's Employee of the Month for September 2018; Commissioner Huffman seconded and the proclamation was adopted by unanimous vote. Finance Director Susan B. Thomas and Administrative Assistant Erika Collins are listed in the meeting attendance.
