Treasurer Dayna Ogle told the commissioners that training for Shauna Porter has required more time than expected and requested that Porter’s time in the role be extended. Ogle also asked Porter to provide coverage in September while Ogle and Lomax are out and to assist a few days per week with Finance Officer Jennifer Deems on budget tasks; commissioners agreed this arrangement sounded reasonable.
Ogle reported she had contacted the cemetery crew about mowing the courthouse lawn and the commissioners instructed that the part-time cleaning position be advertised with a starting wage of $20 per hour. The board also directed that the boiler and maintenance position posting be extended for an additional week.
