Cemetery Board Member Kathy Palmer and Sexton Randy Harden met with commissioners to review the FY25-26 cemetery budget. Palmer said the cemetery plans to purchase a lawn mower, which is included in the new budget, and that Harden has obtained quotes for a new building measuring approximately 20 feet by 60 feet by 12 feet.
Palmer said Harden is requesting a tractor equipped with a front-mounted snow blower. Vice-Chairman Errol Galt suggested the airport’s existing snow blower might be suitable. In the near term, the commissioners agreed to insulate the old building and install a larger propane tank; the larger capital project (new building) will depend on budget availability.
