Commission approves $46,850 vehicle purchase and $74,260 fleet upfit for inmate transport

The commission approved purchase of a 2026 Chevrolet Express passenger van from Don Hattan (Park City, Kansas) for $46,850 and authorized associated upfitting, radio, camera and graphics equipment, bringing the total project cost to $74,260.53.
Commissioner Dan Woydziak moved to approve the purchase and fleet rotation; Commissioner Kelly Herzet seconded and the motion carried 4‑0. The procurement includes a low‑roof configuration for garage clearance and a 15‑passenger capacity to meet peak transport demands and reduce the number of trips.
