Boyle County Fiscal Court approves transfers, bills and multiple contracts

The Boyle County Fiscal Court voted unanimously Feb. 10 to approve a set of budget and cash transfers, monthly bills and several budgeted contracts and agreements.
County Treasurer Shannon Greene presented cash transfers that included $731,622.07 from the Occupational Tax Fund to the General Fund and $125,000 to the Jail Fund; she said that "after she moves the funds from the Money Market account, she will close it." Magistrate Jamey Gay moved to approve the cash transfers; Magistrate Paula Bodner seconded and the motion passed with all magistrates voting in favor. Finance Officer Elaina Plyman presented bills totaling $1,365,023.34 and three additional items (MLK shirts $3,510.40; Arts Commission $3,000; HIA reimbursement $1,000); the court approved the bills after a brief question about a $130,000 Codell invoice.
The court also approved budgeted contracts: the annual Zoll Preventive Maintenance Contract to keep cardiac monitors operational and a Memorandum of Agreement allowing Boyle County EMS to teach a Paramedic Technology Program at Bluegrass Community and Technical College with Education Coordinator Mo Shalash as instructor. EMS Director Mike Rogers noted the Zoll contract is an annual, budgeted item; Magistrate Jamey Gay moved approval and Magistrate Paula Bodner seconded. The BCTC MOA had been reviewed by the County Attorney and was approved without discussion.
Other motions approved included the minutes from the Jan. 30 special-called meeting, budget transfers totaling $16,441.79, salary actions and training incentive payments, the EMS Committee report, and adjournment in honor of first responders. All recorded motions in the meeting passed unanimously.
