Kenton County goes live on CAD with Campbell County to share calls and radios

Kenton County announced it went live with Campbell County on the CAD system, enabling shared phone, CAD and radio visibility in real time to speed responses during major incidents and improve interoperability.
David Leonard told the Fiscal Court that Kenton County’s emergency communications center went live with Campbell County on the CAD system, integrating phone, CAD and radio so dispatchers can view each other’s calls for service in real time. Leonard said the integration improves interoperability, speeds resource-sharing during structure fires and pursuits, and reduces the need for phone-based coordination.
Leonard said Boone County is in talks to join via Tyler but had not yet completed integration. County Administrator Joe Shriver and Commissioner Jon Draud praised the work of dispatch staff and IT personnel in achieving interoperability.
