Court authorizes County Road Aid agreement and adopts resolution accepting FY2026-27 apportionment

Garrard County Fiscal Court authorized Judge/Executive Chris Elleman to sign the County Road Aid (CRA) Cooperative Program Agreement with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Rural and Municipal Aid, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026. Elleman told the court the county's apportionment was estimated at $915,780.38 and the agreement directs that 3% of the apportionment be set aside for an emergency fund for roadway and bridge projects.
The court then passed a resolution adopting the CRA contract and accepting the roads and streets listed in the contract as part of the County Road System. Magistrate Wayne Day moved to pass the resolution and Magistrate Chris Davis seconded; the motion carried with no recorded opposition.
