Contractor: Sugar Creek, Rogers Road paving to begin this month; projects to finish ahead of June 30

Brandon Saylor, Area Manager for The Allen Company, told the Garrard County Fiscal Court that Sugar Creek Road from US 27 to Jim Clark Road should be paved beginning May 21, 2026, with milling and paving expected to take about three days and an additional three days for shouldering. He said work on a 1.3-mile section of Rogers Road from US 27 to Ridgerunner will follow and both projects are expected to be completed ahead of the county's June 30, 2026 deadline.
Saylor also noted planned paving for a section of KY 52 (Hensley Lane to Cartersville) likely starting in July and a paving project on US 27 near Dix River Golf Court scheduled to occur prior to June 30. The projected schedules and sequencing were presented as status updates rather than actions requiring a vote.
