McPherson County commissioners approved a $5,765 quote on June 8 for wiring and installation of two cameras in county clerk storage rooms (116B and 105B) and wiring for an electronic strike and card reader on Door 130A as part of building relocation work.
Commissioner (speaker 5) presented the contractor quote and asked the board to approve wiring and installation. "Mister chairman, I would move that we approve the quote of $5,765 for the wiring and installation of 2 cameras... and wiring for electronic scribe and card reader on Door 130A," the commissioner said. The chair seconded and the motion passed by voice vote.
Separately, the county clerk (speaker 12) told the board that the clerk’s office planned to move into the new county building and requested temporary closures: the clerk’s office will close June 10–12 for relocation; the county treasurer’s motor-vehicle office will be closed June 15–19 for remodeling. Commissioners approved both closures. Staff said some services (mail-in transactions) will continue where feasible and that the county will notify the public if offices open earlier than expected.
