Jacob Riley, Public Works Assistant Director, asked the Board to approve purchasing fencing materials (T-posts, concrete, pipe, wire and related supplies) for two large projects where existing fences must be relocated and rebuilt in newly acquired right-of-way. To reduce costs the work will be performed by County crews; Riley said staff is also evaluating a post driver purchase to assist where rock is encountered. The Board authorized the purchases with a not-to-exceed amount of $95,000, 5-0.
Riley and the Board also discussed improvements in County snow removal compared with the prior year and noted the Landfill's hours of operation would be discussed at a later meeting.
