Chair Keith Becker presided as a Committee member moved to approve a PCN promoting Brandon Archuleta to sergeant effective 04/26/2025; the motion was seconded and carried. Later the board approved a PCN for Derek Breeding effective 04/26/2026 after staff described his duties and performance.
Register of Deeds Lori Wizzardi requested and the board approved a PCN promoting a clerk (Sheila Malm) to Clerk 2 effective 04/26/2026. The board also discussed adjusting a start date for Seth Halley from the 13th to 04/27/2026 and noted the hires will bring staffing to full levels.
Several staff updates preceded the votes: a staff member reported current jail counts and that the county was housing two juveniles at the time, and the register of deeds described the clerk’s completion of required training. All personnel motions were moved, seconded, and approved by voice vote.
The board did not set additional public hearing dates for these hires; effective dates listed in the approved PCNs were recorded in the meeting motions.
