Commission OKs ISG/Cisco FLEX renewal to keep county phone system active

The Butler County Commission approved an annual renewal of the ISG/Cisco FLEX license that supports the county’s Cisco telephone system. Information Technology Director Lew Harter told commissioners the phone system, purchased in November 2019, requires ongoing licensing to remain operational and the agreement will extend licensing through Feb. 1, 2027.
Commissioner Dan Woydziak moved to approve the license renewal and authorized staff to sign the necessary purchase documents; the motion carried 5-0. No amendments or additional funding sources were requested at the meeting.
The approval ensures the county’s phone platform remains supported and licensed while staff continue operating legacy telephone infrastructure.
