Butler County renews Tyler public-safety software contract for $140,425

The Butler County Board of Commissioners voted Jan. 6 to renew maintenance and support for Tyler Technologies public-safety software for $140,425.26, extending coverage for Jan. 1–Dec. 31, 2026. The renewal includes a departmental breakdown of charges: CAD (911, fund 66) $53,713.11; Sheriff’s Office records $54,924.12; Jail $31,788.04. The county noted the 2026 renewal represents about a 5% increase over 2025 costs (2025 total $130,378.35) when excluding a new booking export interface. Commissioner Dan Woydziak moved to approve the renewal; the motion carried 5-0.
