Students and staff raise $2,419.50 for Rainbow Connection; Claymont noted as top donor

Elementary Principal Heather Whipkey reported that she and four students appeared on television on Sunday, March 8 to present donations to the Rainbow Connection. The Primary and Elementary buildings together raised $2,419.50; Mrs. Grandison said Claymont had collected more than any other school.
The board issued several commendations at the meeting, including recognition for Brent Gates for assisting a coworker in need, and recognition of Heather Dotts and Jane Lesiecki as members of the CISM Response Team and Honorary Sheriffs. The board also wished good luck to State Wrestling Qualifiers Kam Stout, Dre’Vonn Searcy, Nile Abbuhl, Daniel McGarr, Laiken Warner and Kendall Boitnott.
