Claymont students and staff donate $2,419.50 to Rainbow Connection; state wrestling qualifiers recognized

The board recognized contributions and community efforts during commendations. Mrs. Whipkey reported that she and four students appeared on TV on Sunday, March 8 and presented donations from the Primary and Elementary buildings totaling $2,419.50 to the Rainbow Connection; Mrs. Grandison commended the schools for collecting more than other schools. The board also recognized Brent Gates for assisting a coworker in need of medical attention and noted Heather Dotts and Jane Lesiecki for work with the CISM Response Team and Honorary Sheriffs.
The board extended good luck wishes to state wrestling qualifiers Kam Stout, Dre’Vonn Searcy, Nile Abbuhl, Daniel McGarr, Laiken Warner and Kendall Boitnott. These commendations were listed in the meeting packet and read during the March 9 session.
