Board approves personnel moves, policy updates and CCP agreement

At its Feb. 9, 2026 meeting the Claymont City School District Board of Education approved a range of superintendent recommendations. The board accepted resignations (Devon Anthony effective Jan. 14, 2026; Tina Jones effective Feb. 20, 2026), approved volunteers and an after‑school credit recovery instructor, amended an unpaid leave for Alexis Stallman to Feb. 20–Apr. 15, 2026, and approved continued Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) membership for 2026–27.
The board also approved the district Gifted Identification Plan and Gifted Education Policy, a College Credit Plus agreement with Stark State College, technology policies (Internet Filtering; Responsible Use; Staff Responsible Use signature page), and multiple board-policy updates including Preventing Chronic Absenteeism (effective Aug. 1, 2026) and Student Health Services and First Aid. Several classified substitutes were approved pending credentialing. All superintendent recommendations on the agenda were approved on roll-call votes recorded in the minutes.
