Board approves tax levies and financial report; OKs participation in OSBA legal fund

Treasurer Kim Beckley presented the district’s February financial report and the board approved the report, payment of bills and minutes from prior meetings. The board also approved two resolutions related to the Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) Legal Assistance Fund.
On a roll call vote the board approved the Resolution Accepting the Amounts and Rates as determined by the Budget Commission of Tuscarawas County and authorizing the necessary tax levies. The levies and amounts listed in the motion were: Permanent Improvement 4.2 mills ($1,241,000); Current Expense (General) 20.5 mills ($5,300,000); Permanent Improvement 2.0 mills ($476,000); Current Expense (General) 3.0 mills ($783,000). The motion carried unanimously.
