Laws & Rules Committee forwards draft rules package to Board for exposure

The committee voted to recommend the entire rules packet to the Oregon Board of Accountancy for exposure. Ray Johnson moved the motion and Beth Spencer seconded; a roll-call-style affirmation followed and the committee approved forwarding the packet to the board with instructions that staff finalize technical edits.
Chair Jason Orms thanked members for months of work and told the group the draft would be included in the board packet scheduled for Dec. 1, 2025. Members asked that minor technical editing continue (updates to standards citations, dates and deletion of redundant definitions) before the packet is posted to ensure transparency and reduce confusion for readers. "Well done," the chair said after the vote.
