Superintendent Brian Rentsch and Mr. Henry reviewed bussing implications before the motion. Mrs. Host moved to approve the student instructional time changes and Ms. Campbell seconded; the motion carried on roll call (Host yes; Campbell yes; Host recorded twice in the minutes; Wolf yes). The board said it will monitor operational impacts, including after‑school activity transportation, during the coming year.
The schedule change follows an internal review of bus routing and activity schedules to reduce conflicts and improve transportation efficiency. The board approved the item after hearing that staff would use the existing start/end-time framework for the upcoming year and evaluate the outcome before proposing further changes.
The decision was recorded as Superintendent Item E on the April 13 agenda; implementation details and any required family notifications will be handled by district administration during the summer.
