NEMCSA reports 96.5% of funds return to programs across 11 counties; highlights childcare and senior initiatives

Frances Ommani, Strategy and Development Director for the Northeast Michigan Community Service Agency (NEMCSA), presented the agency’s FY 2025 annual report to the Crawford County Board on June 11. She listed core services—Early Childhood Services, School Success Partnership Program, Community Programs, Homeless & Prevention Services, and Senior Services—and said 96.5% of funding goes back into program delivery across the 11-county region.
Ommani described a recent Childcare Innovation Initiative in partnership with NEMCOG and Pulse that produced a Child Care Back Office, and noted NEMCSA’s role in launching a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) in Alpena with Presbyterian Villages of Michigan. She also said NEMCSA expanded Head Start services into St. Clair County.
Commissioners thanked Ommani for the agency’s regional support; Commissioner Frederick was recognized as a member of the NEMCSA board. No board action or funding request was recorded in this meeting.
