"We serve six counties," Yuncker told the board, "and with our federal and state funding down, the millage would cover about 30% of our budget." She thanked the commissioners for their continued support and asked whether the board would back the proposal.
The request was presented during the correspondence/public comment portion of the April 9 meeting; the board accepted the distributed correspondence but took no formal vote on the millage request that day. If commissioners choose to act, follow-up would be required to place a millage proposal on a future ballot.
