A councilor asked staff to schedule a workshop on Title 3 (property maintenance control) to clarify code language and reduce the cost risk to the city for large abatements. "I'd like to have a workshop on Title 3, and specifically talking about chapter 3, property maintenance control," the councilor said, asking staff to include code enforcement staff in the discussion.
Staff said it would bring a staff report to schedule the workshop and asked councilors to rank projects on the proposed city project list (1–28). Councilors discussed near-complete items that should be exempt from ranking, such as PRV removal and the Bear Creek culvert until paving is done. Staff set a deadline to receive rankings so a staff report can be prepared for the council's Oct. 7 meeting.
