Staff noted September scheduling constraints and suggested using the Sept. 3 meeting to gather ideas and then present results at a later meeting for adoption.
"You could choose to have by the 1st meeting of September your ideas ready and talk about it as an agenda item, and then we could put all of those projects on a list, send it out to you, and then you could review the results at whatever meeting you're scheduling right now," staff said. Councilors discussed alternatives including tabulating results by email and adopting at the Oct. 7 quarterly meeting to ensure a full council discussion and quorum.
