Court awards $101,739 electrical contract for recycling office upgrades

Boyle County approved a $101,739 contract with Wilding Electric to provide electrical work needed for the newly remodeled recycling office.
Mark Gordon briefed the court that the recycling office remodel is complete and the facility requires two new service panels, a transformer and wiring drops to power sorting lines and balers. Gordon said the contractor is familiar with county work and could begin as soon as the court approved the contract.
A motion to award the quote was moved and seconded; the court approved the contract by voice vote. County staff said funding is in the current budget but some transfers from interest‑bearing to the general fund may be processed when the work is invoiced.
