Superintendent Brian Rentsch told the board the district’s forecast and capital-plan needs indicate the administration must present options to save money, including possible consolidation of buildings. Rentsch said he would work with administrators to prepare options and multi-year capital plans, and trustees asked for contingency plans labeled plan B and plan C as well as 1-, 3-, 5-, and 7-year capital plans for each building.
Board members Mrs. Host, Ms. Campbell and Mrs. Grandison said they agreed that action is needed; the minutes record that the board wants to see alternatives if the inside-millage reallocation remains disputed and tied up in appeal. The record does not include specific timelines for any consolidation decision nor projected savings figures.
