"We had 5 bidders respond, and we are asking for approval to authorize it to St. Regis Colbert, for the cost of a $130,987.50," she said, and asked that the award be forwarded to the full board for approval.
Commissioners asked whether the procurement required action today or if the committee could forward a recommendation; staff confirmed it would go to the full board. The committee voted to forward the award recommendation and recorded a unanimous roll-call in favor. Commissioner questions during the discussion also covered equipment life and whether the blades can be resharpened; staff said blades are used until they are no longer usable and then recycled.
