Bond counsel reviewed two millage measures and the board voted on placement for the August 2026 ballot. The board approved the Crawford County Transportation Authority (CCTA) millage renewal and also approved placing a Crawford County Historic Preservation millage proposal on the ballot.
The historic-preservation motion passed with one dissenting vote from Commissioner Frederick; Moeller was absent for both votes. Motion language was approval to place each proposal on the August ballot; no county levy changes or levy amounts were adopted at the meeting itself.
Placing the measures on the ballot begins the public campaign and ballot-preparation processes. The County Clerk will execute the necessary ballot paperwork and bond counsel will continue to advise on placement and statutory language.
