Baltimore County to mark Engage Day on Sept. 10 at all 21 senior centers

Becky Ebert, BCDA nutrition manager, told viewers that Baltimore County will celebrate Engage Day on Sept. 10 across all 21 county senior centers, offering meals, activities and opportunities to visit local centers.
"It's a wonderful opportunity to highlight healthy aging, community connections, and all of our amazing center programs that we have to offer," Ebert said, describing Engage Day as a chance for older adults to discover local services and invite friends to join the festivities. She said the day will pair a special celebratory meal with programming at each center.
Ebert said menus for the special meal are being finalized based on a survey of center participants, and that activities will vary by center. She encouraged seniors to use Engage Day to re-connect with friends and to explore center offerings.
The county is also promoting participating restaurants that will offer special menus and deals for Engage Day; a current list is posted on the Baltimore County government website, Ethel said. Ebert and the program host suggested attendees might have lunch at their local center and then go to a participating restaurant later in the day.
