"Please, spread the word. Everybody needs to vote," Trustee Dela Torre said, urging community participation. Trustee Serrano and other supporters framed consolidation as a way to increase impartiality and turnout, though one public commenter, Andrea Gordon, noted that consolidation could cost the district some additional funds.
By approving the request for county election services, the board authorized district staff to send the adopted resolutions and supporting documents to the Los Angeles County Registrar‑Recorder/County Clerk for processing and to confirm consolidation and timing with the county office.
