Merriam approves cost-sharing agreement with Johnson County for Upper Turkey Creek design

"The total amount that they have allocated in it for this project is $2,000,000," Mr. Engel said. He also told the council that the county currently owes Merriam $412,500 for FY25 expenditures and that approving the agreement would allow the city to invoice the county for that amount.
The council moved, seconded, and approved the agreement by roll call vote (8-0). The vote allows finance to invoice Johnson County for the $412,500 owed and preserves eligibility to draw on the county's FY26 allocation if additional Corps of Engineers work moves forward.
