During the discussion session commissioners and staff discussed several planning items. One proposal under consideration is to make north and south stairwell entrances employee-only to increase building security; staff noted existing key-fob capability and that further discussion would precede any action.
Commissioners also reported paperwork is largely approved by the prosecutor's office to launch a community foundation fund to help cover construction and operational costs for a new dog shelter and encouraged public contributions. The board discussed scheduling a joint meeting between the COG and McDAC to review updated regulations and plan funding cycles; no binding votes or directives were issued today.
