"We wanna be able to see them and maybe the see the courthouse and so they don't show up and say you hired somebody they've never been here before," Chair (speaker 1) said when arguing against defaulting to Zoom interviews. Clerk (speaker 4) suggested starting interviews at 9 a.m., allocating about 45 minutes per candidate and scheduling nearer candidates earlier in the day to ease travel burdens.
Next steps: Bonnie (staff) will contact the shortlisted applicants, schedule interview times, and circulate the job qualifications and standardized questions to commissioners ahead of the interviews.
