Commissioners name interview panel including state court staff and county officials

Commissioners agreed on membership for the Clerk of Court interview panel and asked staff to recruit representatives with direct operational experience. Bonnie Erickson (S6) recommended including Becky Nelson or a similar representative from the state court administrator’s office and suggested a clerk of court from another county to advise on training needs.
"I definitely recommend, you know, Becky Nelson or someone like that from, the state court, system," Bonnie (S6) said, adding that including an experienced clerk would help the panel evaluate training and operational readiness. The board also asked for a county citizen and the auditor/treasurer to serve on the panel; commissioners volunteered names and agreed to the proposed composition by motion and voice vote.
Staff were instructed to assemble the panel and to provide a standard list of interview questions as was used in the recent sheriff recruitment.
